Easy Elderberry Syrup Recipe

The health benefits of elderberry syrup are numerous.

Did you know that it can help make your immune system stronger, shorten the duration of a cold or flu and also help balance your hormones.

I want to share with you how we make our own. It is so super easy to make and you will save a lot of money if you make your own. I add a few extra immune boosting herbs to mine. Let's get started:

Elderberry Syrup Recipe:

4oz bag of dry elderberry mix (this one has a blend of other immune boosting herbs) - CLICK HERE TO BUY

1 fresh lemon - take 3 slices from it

4-5 tablespoons local raw honey

1 Divine Immunity Blend tea bag - CLICK HERE TO BUY

1 Ginger Root tea bag - CLICK HERE TO BUY

3-4 cups water

Place all ingredients (except honey and only the 3 slices of lemon) in a slow cooker or instant pot.

Slow Cooker - cook for 1 hour

InstaPot - cook for 10 minutes and then let it sit for 20 more minutes to "brew".

Once it is done cooking then strain the mixture into a glass bowl.

Use a potato masher and mash the mixture so you squeeze out all the liquid.

While it is still warm add the honey and squeeze the leftover lemon and then stir to mix well.

Let it cool and then transfer to a glass mason jar and label it with the date you made it.

Store in the fridge for up to 1 month.

I double the whole recipe and then make 2 containers. One for immediate use and stored in the fridge and the second one I store in the freezer for future use. Just leave on the counter to defrost it when you are ready to use it.

Children under 12 can take 1 teaspoon per day for prevention. Double that when sick.

13 - adult can take a shot glass full per day for prevention. Double that when sick.

**You can add more honey to make it sweeter. This is an option if it tastes too bitter.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
