Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte

This is a great infographic on a very popular seasonal drink.  We need to stop paying corporations to make us sick. Why would you want to take your hard earned money and give it to someone to make you sick? 

If we want to be healthy we absolutely must take responsibility for what we eat and drink.  One of the most important things we can do, as we age, is eat a diet that is loaded with anti-inflammatory foods (plants!). 

This drink with all of its fake ingredients is just simply not healthy for you and is causing inflammation in your body every time you drink it. 

Commit to ditching this popular drink and try my healthier version. My healthy version is quick, easy and won't cause inflammation in your body.

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

½ cup coconut milk (full fat in the can)

½ cup brewed coffee

3 tablespoon pumpkin puree (fresh or can)

3 tablespoon maple syrup **

½ teaspoon pumpkin spice

coconut cream (from a can)

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients into a high speed blender (except coconut cream) and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a saucepan and heat over medium heat until heated all the way through.
  • Serve with some coconut cream on top.
  • Enjoy!

Notes:

**For an even healthier version replace the maple syrup with 3 medjool dates (pits removed).
